TCI Flowchart Art
This artwork was used to help fourth graders understand how a bill becomes a law in the U.S. This content is shown to students through an online subscription to TCI's content. I began brainstorming for this project by understanding what each step was and thinking of how a student would understand it best. By using realistic figures in a clean and simplified cartoon style, the message comes across clearly and is visually engaging. More difficult ideas to convey, such as showing that someone is a member of the House of Representatives, was solved by my idea of having the person jumping through a simplified form of the official House seal. Actions like signing a document and shaking hands make an emotional connection having to do with taking action.
